Play It

G Major is the third chord in our progression. It is made up of the notes G, B and D.

Firstly, find the root note, G. It is located on the third fret of the sixth string. Use your middle finger to press the note.
Next, find the B note, which is found on the second fret of the fifth string. Press it down with your index finger.
To give our chord a more rich harmony, we can place our ring finger on the third fret of the second string, producing the note, D.
Lastly, place your pinky finger on the high G note, which is the third fret of the first string.
Strum all six strings at once, and you should hear the sound of a G major chord.
