DATA STITCHING: participatory installation with data, custom code, conductive paint, hand-holding.

Data Stitching reacts to human touch. When a pair of visitors touch hands across two seats, a needle stitches data across the screen. This data is from Newcastle University's Cloud Computing research group, based at The Core Science Central.
The data is representative of regional weather data from 10,000 sensor readings across the Tyne and Wear region. It is visible within the piece through numerical values and color values on the screen.
