I was very excited for this project. I took inspiration from a friend's project, someone who I admire, and chose a personal story to tell through metaphor.
My first thought that came to mind was knitting. I have been working on blankets for friends and family members, and the metaphor of connecting the loops of every stitch fit well with that of making friendships. Yarn, string, and crafts have been apart of my life for as long as I remember, and it was fun telling the story through the colors and shapes of it.
I chose to make my layout as clean as I could get it to keep the aesthetic of my work. I like to make sure things are easy to read and nothing gets too busy. A busy artwork is a hard one to process. Flexbox is my new best friend. I designed my comic completely around this feature.
The roll-over animations are some I'm very happy with, especially the buttons. Its such a simple thing but its so affective too. I opted to not expand the roll-over animations in the other pages for time's sake.
This class and all of these projects have helped me understand html, css, javascript, etc. much more clearly, and I'm excited to work with it more.
