Unknown Factors

I was always a different kind of kid.

I chose books over people more often than not.

I was an extremely picky eater.

I had headaches nearly daily, and migraines more than once a week.

When I cried (which was often), I couldn't find a voice to tell anyone what was wrong.

I was obedient despite my tendencies to cry at the slightest provocation, but girls didn't have to toughen up like boys did.

My family, my teachers, the children around me, no one noticed I was a little more off than the average kid.
