Entering the mine, you pause to let your eyes adjust to the darkness. The only things you can sense are an overwhelming scent of sulfur emanating from deeper in the mine, slightly stinging your nose, and unusually humid air.

After about half a minute of staring blankly into the dark, you can finally begin to make out the details of your surroundings. There is moisture collecting on the cool, smooth stone walls. Further down the tunnel, you can make out a small light source, illuminating a crossroads in the mine.

As it seems the only way to proceed, you make your way down to the light. Upon reaching the crossroads, you can look down the shafts in each direction.

Looking left, you can’t see much. The light fades into dark down a long shaft.

Looking right, you can see further. There is a branching shaft about halfway down, and another branch at the end of the visible shaft.
